Red face BIOS Screen ! :D

Hi Buddies...

Whenever we buy a computer that is branded like a Compaq Presario , it is seen that when we switch on the PC , compaq is displayed instead of the screen displaying the config. of the PC and then booting up of OS continue..

whereas wen we buy an assembled PC , it is not observed..so my question arises can we make a screen on our own and place it there instead of showing up the config ... ?

Yes you can, but it involves flashing the bios... Theres a walkthrough at http://www.vp6-board.com/Bioslogo.htm

Asus mobo CD contains a software for changing the BIOS Logo.
I hv changed mine many times.

mine mobo is of AsRock ! ..ne other way of changing it vishal ?
