MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum Review (NVIDIA nForce4 SLI)
Date: Wednesday, February 16 @ GMT Standard Time
Topic: nForce4

MSI has really got a winner on their hands with this board. If you’re looking to upgrade and want to take the Athlon64 socket 939 plunge, don’t even think about getting another board. This is the board to get. Period.

..After experiencing the ASUS A8N-SLI motherboard, I really thought that it would be tough for any other manufacturer to match its features and performance. After reviewing the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI, it is clear that MSI has not only matched the performance of the A8N, but it has also surpassed it. From our experiences, while the ASUS A8N-SLI is an excellent piece of engineering, the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI seems to be even better.. ..Overall, the MSI K8N Neo4 Platinum/SLI is the best SLI motherboard on the market that we have had the pleasure of working with, not to mention that it is an overclocking giant.

I am always looking for the fastest things

The MSI K8N Diamond SLi was not much powerful as A8N-Sli Deluxe
But This K8N Neo4 Platinum Sli beats ASUS.
The onboard Creative 7.1 Sound card is also gr8.

I hope you enjoy this as much i enjoyed.

The board looks nice but i cant make out why Asus outsells MSI everytime.Even if the product from MSI is better, still popularity of Asus boards is more, their sales are more?
Why so?
I hope you guys can make out what i am trying to convey.
Anyways, even if MSI comes out with a 10times faster and better board than Asus, i would never buy it for my main machine.
ASUS RULEZZZZZZ !!!!!!!

MSI truely rocks

but the sorry state is it doesnt sell much

its prices have always been an issue

due to high sales of ASUS they can redice the prices considerably

man MSi makes some cool stuff which look cooler than ASUS too

black PCB, the cables, wires everything is just so good looking

even MSI k8n neo 2 was a good bundle

Giga Byte is also a good player in the motherboard race and one should look at these before setling down for a purchase

Yes but MSI can never match the build quality of Asus. The stability of Asus Rocks.

When you do some extreme overclocking, the stability should be rock solid.for this the build quality & components need to be of very good quality, which i think Asus gives.

Also a good overclocker always likes to OC thru BIOS and not Thru softwares.MSI boards just dont seem to like OC thru BIOS but they do overclock well from their shi**y software.

Asus too has a similar software but this doesnt affect their BIOS OC capabilities.

Also i have seen 2-3 times that MSI boards report wrong temperatures.Asus isnt perfect but atlest the figures of PC Probe are believable. Also the BIOS of Asus boards reports correct values,2-5% tolerance should be considered though.
