Comp crashed while deleting 4GB folder.....

when it booted up the folder was present but inside its empty. also 4gb space is still occupied. i cannot delete the folder and it says folder corrupted or unreadable. so is there anyway other than formatting that i can recover the space ???

install ccleaner & run it ...........

scandisk or defrag it ................

or even you can use bart pe or live cd to view or change or modify or what ever you want to do...
