Question necessary to keep all j2SE runtime enviroment updates?


is it necessary to keep all j2SE runtime enviroment updates? i can see big updates like j2se runtime enviroment update 5,6,8. they each have 150 MB size. can i install 5th and 6th one and keep 8th one?? see attachment for details

Just download the latest one. Uninstall all previous versions & install the latest.

so i have to do this every time... uninstalling older versions and instaliing new ones?

I havent tested this Installer, but sometimes, the New Installers will upgrade it for you

Sometimes the old J2se is necessary for the working of certain applications. I found out that the upload process of the Department Company affairs, New Delhi, requires the old one.

they end up filling C drive , sun should have cleared this mess by modifying installer to remove unnecessary older updates....
