I think ur problem is purely hardware.Check ur ups and also ur smps as it can be effected due to the fluctuations . Also check if ur ups has a inbuilt spike protector or else put an external one.. ..The worse think that might have happened is ur motherboard might have been affected due to power surge .....Give ur pc a through hardware check from a good assembler.
