Question which one is better


am planning to buy a new dvd combo drive..... as my present one is getting weak..... now the thing is that i came across external dvd drives....which appeled me a lot... as i will be able to keep my old one ...conneted which still perform...... now what i want to know is there any performance difference between external drive and internal ...... and which one should i go for

external ones will be costlier, i don't recommend one if u plan to use it for ur system only, internal ones perform better anyway. digit had carried an article on them too, but dnt remember the edition
