I am going to buy a .com Domain Name in 2-3 days
I am new to this, Pls help me to select the Right Way
I searched the net & found these

http://www.host4cheap.org/ @ 7.95$/- per year

http://smallbusiness.yahoo.com/domains/ @ 9.95$/- per year

http://www.godaddy.com @ 8.95$/- per year

which one do you think is good
or any one better than this

To be honest enough, i personally use Namecheap.com. They sell at same price at what i do but they have a nicer control Panel

you sell it for 7.95$ & namecheap.com sell it for 8.88$

there is a problem with DirectI resellers, may not be a one which sould stop u to buy one domain from them...

When you buy a domain from DirectI Resellers no DNS control comes bundeled !! you have to buy with extra ammount !!

but Service like Godaddy / NameCheap / Yahoo Domains !! comes with a good DNS control !!

quiote right ... just to run a simple web site you dont need advance DNS control... but when you are running a site which is using a dedicated server of DataBse another of emails few for ftp !! then u would...

There are very few user among us who is using advance DNS control

Yep, Namecheap rules for me Namecheap is ENOM Reseller and BTW i am not DirectI aka ResellerClub Reseller. I am reseller for some ICANN Accrediated Registrar who use same LogicBOX interface like DirectI uses

Yep, Yahoo allows DNS Management as saurav_cheeta pointed earlier. No, you wont be able to get www.something.com.in, however you can get .co.in or .in at my website www.domains.host4cheap.org

WHOIS Protection is free but DNS Management is 2$ extra but you really dont need DNS Management in the first place

Personal Note :

I found Yahoo the easiest to start with comes with advance DNS control panel !! but little costly compair with others, its USD 9.95 per domain also extra USD 9.95 if you want who is protection...

but the interface is the easiest i saw

Godaddy would be over all only when you know your stuff pretty well, godaddy interface is cramped with useless ads

Where as, for simple use a DirectI reseller is also not a Bad idea... !!

P.S. You dont need a Who Is protection unless you are running a Porn / Adult site, or giving Pirated software download

I will still go with Namecheap. It is the easiest panel for DNS Management which comes Free and also has Free WHOIS protection for first year only.

Godaddy is something, i wont recommand to anyone. Yahoo i have never tried

As told by Sukhdeep, in 99% case you don't need DNS management, if you are also planning to buy hosting.

However if you are planning to use google apps or some other advance stuff then you may need DNS management.

As a directi reseller I charge Rs 25/- for DNS management, and whois privacy is free

Oh, Paypal Invoice - You will receive a Email each month with an Invoice from the Billing Script and you have to Pay Manually.

Paypal Subscription - The Payments to Us will be automated by Paypal

For Domains, it doesnt matter much since, your next payment will be due after one year.
