Nope. Phishing technology is different. They only report the phishing sites i.e. duplicate sites which attempts to steal passwords, bank accounts etc. These sites don't have any malwares, but they pose as legitimate site. A good example is the duplicate ICICI bank sites. This feature is in-built in IE7 too.

McAfee site advisor will even warn about the malware oriented sites. Most of the warez sites upload spywares into your PC automatically without user intervention! Such kind of sites will not be filtered by phishing technology.
That's were Site advisor pops in.

^ oh.. cool.. so they have now started keeping a database for malware sites too.. nice.. that had to be a evolutionary extension from the phishing databases i guess.. thnx for the update mate!
