Default registry problem


i took a backup of my registry b4 fiddling with it......

now my VS.NET wud not work ...... i get an error
"fatal execution engine error (0x7926e63b)"

??????how do i restore my registry?????

my system is a windows XP professional...
PLZ HELP!!!

hey am not too sure if this will work out.. but jus give it a try..

in acces. in windows menu u got system tools there select system restore.. n select a date prior to u fiddling with the rigistry.. try it but am not sure if this will work 8)

i v tried System Restore function of windows XP.... it doesnt work if u fiddle with registries...

If u exported the registry to somewhere and u know where it is, just double click it and click yes. I thought this to be an adequate reply. Well better wait 4 better answers than this one

arent the registry bakups kept in some files , like user.dat and system.dat in win98

else try to use deleted file recovery software to recover the reg file overwritten and try replacing the restored file in original

if hes backed up his registry means hes exported it to an external .reg file
so yeah .. double click and enter it into the reg. like shwetanshu said
