Hi guys , just thinking that if we could install all necessary files of a software to a particular Folder and then Burn all the files to a cd/dvd and further use the installed files to open Programs. Is there anyway to do so???? If yes howw and if no WHy..... and is it no possible?

most small sw can b done so.. all their needed files 'll 90% b in the Programs Folder... just save those & run the program there... chances r that they'll work. However... registry edits & windows files r needed again.. some sw put some important files in the Windows folders too. That might screw it up again.Just keep tryin.. Find out the favourable guyz & back them up.

Regd.. registry... it's a long way.. u've to save the registry portions of the respective sw (like User names or sw address or settings...)


BTW... that's the trick behind those Portable Applications.... like Portable Firefox..
I'ld ask u to just dl sw from this site... and use them directly.

WinZip, WinRAR, VLC Media Player.. these work anywhere.

you may install it in your PC, then copy paste the WinRAR folder onto USB Pen Drive & use it in other PC's too.

If you want such apps which can runfrom Pen drive, just visit www.portableapps.com A bunch of FOSS softwares are avilable in portable version here. No ned to install. I think Digit provided their portable apps suite in last month's (March)DVD too.
