Does MTNL provide 2mbps speed?

I enqiured with MTNL they said they don't provide 2mbps downloading speed but u get surfing speed @ 2mpbs.

I don't think they will increase the speed.

When you are surfing, you are downloading anyway. So you just better stay away from statement that downloading and surfing are different. They are just misleading you.
As for 2MBps, they are not currently giving that bandwidth for new users. May be in future they will!
