Unable to Hibernate

I recently reinstalled my windows.
Before reinstalling windows I could hibernate.
When I tried to enable hibernation after reinstalling windows in power options, it says thar the hibernate file is being used by another program and I will be unable to hibernate. When I cant hibernate even after reinstalling windows again.
Plz help!!!!!!!!!

u may try to boot into safe mode and delete the hibernate.sys and then enable hibernation..

hey have you tries amitava82 method.I think that may help you.Post ur result.
it is system drive like in c:/ (i suppose your windows Os is installed on C:/ drive)...but it may be a hidden file..
