Default Taskmanager not opening


i am using win2k it is connected to net , since last week when i try to open taskmanager . its just opens and closes automatically.
what is the problem. i checked for virus with norton and installed spy ware. but problem still exsists. plzzz help me...

hi,

i am having more or less similar pblm.OS is win2k with sp4.when ever i try to open norton antivirus , it just flashes and shuts.i tried reinstalling norton and tried with other scanners too..but same problem for those scanners also.ur help is highly appretiable.
