hi guys i wany to build a website..
i provide online music on my site..
is it legal?
do i have to buy only the original music?
if no please give me ay other suggessions..............

I think that you have to buy the copywrites or get some certificate or something like that.
Otherwise if you are caught doing piracy then...............................

There is a proper procedure for this..
1st of all u hav 2 gt a licence from "Ministry of INFORMATION & BROADCASTING, India"
2nd, u have to get ur website approved from NATIONAL INFORMATICS CENTRE (N.I.C.) of ur region...
Only then, u can operatd a website like 'www.smashits.com' or 'www.dishant.com'
u also hav to get 'royalty dirtribution rights' frm respective music companies.

theorically it is not legal but i wonder why people get so legal in talk while they use the illegal OS itself in which they are typing their replies...

any way i am not upholding piracy ..so what i suggest is go ahead use music ..get experience ...dont get to professional and start trying making from pirated things..
then after u get settled and know lots of things ..then think about being legal...and then you can also ask for money...

in reality its money that makes legal or illegal to great extent..
if u start making big sum using other music illegally then the another people will start asking about legal things with in some hours...(as s/he is not earning ..u even dont need the original creater to question..)

so my suggestion is for testing now dont care..for now
and later if u really think of business here then get legalized...
(any way what i feel..in indian context..)
