Default Why i am unable to rename file ?


Whenever i m trying to rename file i m getting following message......

if you change file name extension,file may become unusable.

hey buddy......
You can change the file name but u hv to chnge the settings............

Method1
1.Go to Tools>Folder Options>View tab
2.In the View Tab Option.....
Check The Option
Hide Extensions For Know File Type.........
3.
Apply it and change the file Name............

Method2
If u dont want to change the settings then .........
1.Rename The File with given way
.............................
FileName.Extension
......................
For Example
Tochange the file name Ron.doc to 1991.doc
thenRename it as 1991.doc

But the second method is what u should be using.
I personally prefer that method, with the file extentions showing, because type conversion, sometimes helps in opening files
