Use firefox instead of IE. Use bandwidth monitor to check if there is any data transfer happening.
I dun understand my 'keeps on downloading'. Is it through IE or some download manager??
Enter > start> run>msconfig> services> and disable any automatic updating, logs, and any updates of 3rd party softies.
