Default ISP blocking Torrents ?

About a week ago , utorrent suddenly stopped working. checked up the log and the error seemed simple : trackers were offline(time out). I then however went on dial up and saw that the trackers were just fine. This lead me too belie that my isp is blocking torrents. Sure enough when i use a anonymizer it started working. The anonymizer's readme however stated not to use it for P2p sq so i cant use that option. Also in utorrent if i enable encryption(see speed guide in utor) I am able to sometimes connect to a seed but again i lose it quickly. I have complained to the isp and my local cable guy(both very unaware of what torrents are ). Action will take a long time. Isp claims that everything is fine and no Lan ports are blocked. Local guy is a fool - absolute dumass !

I was wondering if there are ways to work my way around this or atleast 100 % confirm its due to LAN ports being blocked. Oh and dont mind suggesting "any kind " of way .. if its "not right" just PM me or do something. Its really frustrating !!

I use sify. They do not block P2P.

@ Maverick340:- You can use the Protocol Encryption . It is safe. About your ISP i suggest you to try other ISP. Swift online looks like a local ISP.

Sify used to block ports 2 years ago But now they do not block a single port and offer the best service.
