Stubborn message....help plz

The taskbar of my computer shows an icon with the following balloon tip:
Would you like to update your security software an ddownload Registry Cleaner?
Upon running antivirus nothing is dangerous is detected. What to do?

find out which company that baloon tip redirects to. You have installed a software, most probably shareware from the same company which is advertising. It is basically adware. Either remove the software or look in its options for some way to disable it.

its again appesrs 2 b a rogue. turn off system restore for the moment. use rogue remover. and then finish off with ccleaner. scan in safe mode for best results.

thats just type of adware..that keeps on scaring u...
its nnothign..but just a way to...make u buy their softwarez..

the adware is Registry Cleaner v3.2.0.901 of www.sysregistry.com

Do u want to disable the baloon tips?

Go into settings and look for something called "Show tray Icon" or "Show balloon tips"
Uncheck it
