Although myspace also give the facility to create blog, but if you are serious in blogging use blogger or better self hosted wordpress blog.

^^ both www.blogger.com and www.wordpress.com are free to use. Blogger works with the Google Account and Wordprss needs a new account.

Read a Review of Word Press V/s Blogger to know more. It is not very difficult to start with, I would suggest Blogger initially, so that when you are comfortable you can move over to wordpress if you want.
