Question A Matter of Speed

I am "BSNL DataOne Home 250" User, ie; the plan I am using has the speed limit from 256Kbps to 2Mbps, as told by BSNL w.e.f. from 1st January 2007.

When I download any file from the net, the download speed varries from 100Kbps to 11 Mbps.

Now I want to know that if BSNL has provided me a speed limit of 256kbps, how I get the speed upto 11Mbps?

256kbps reffers to ur bandwith limit I suppose and as far as downloading goes on at 100kbps to 11mbps thats a different case or so to say ur actual speed (download/upload).

BSNL give a max of 2mbps, ie 256KBps and no way one can get 11mbps on BSNL.

dont count on peaks.

Just tell the average download speed (thats near the actual speed).

Even i was able to get a speed of 484 Kbps on my dial up but just for few seconds.

No one explains truly.
I surf at 500Kbps to 1150kbps, but download files at 7mbps to 11 Mbps
What is this difference?

The picture posted by you doesn't show 2MBps speed!!!. I don't think you will ever get any such speed consistently.

I started the post as, difference between SURF speed and DOWNLOAD speed.
I surf at 400 Kbps, 600kbps, to 1800kbps, but download any file at 700 to 800 KBps, ie; 800 X 8 kbps= "6400kbps".......Understand.

Hey, I am not the Lucky Guy!
Do you know, they billed me Rs 1430.00 in January 2007, in Plan Home 250, using only 970Mb of 1024Mb, My three days went in vein & then i corrected the bill to Rs 280, and you are telling that I am lucky!
