live cd

i have tried a lot of live cds but i get a sync out of range error while booting into ythe gui .Can anyone tell what to do and how to make it ok.

Lower the screen resolution & then try.Or you can changing the resolution when in command line mode when you boot off the cd.
Which distro are you trying?

i tried slax and knoppix.how do i reduce the resolution.can you tell me the steps.

For knoppix at the boot prompt,

knoppix screen=1280x1024

where 1280x1024 is the resolution that you want to set.

I dunno about slax dude.

it was a problem with the refresh rate.
