HI FRiends,
I am studying 4 ECE,Sem1,Next day there is a IT quiz in our college conducted Exclusively for the the first year students. Can any body suggest me some Important Questions about Computers and IT.Hope that u all will help

Well, Being myself as an IT stream student ..may be i can tell U all this ..
What is IT?
What is information?
when did this IT thing started?
When was our IT act passsed?
What steps were taken to improvise IT in India?
Why is it becoming a driving force for each & every nation ?

etc.. etc ...

There can be a whole lot of questions based on it .. .. can U plzz just be more precise in ur point of view for quiz .. bcz IT now is an enough vast field .... for ur information IT was introduced in India in 1999 when our Govt. passed the IT act ... & under this very act they decided to establish a few pioneer institutes in India at various places so tht India can manufacture ..IT human power also ..

It's a dream on future ..well the first central esteemeed institute established on it was IIIT- Allahabad , now i think few more have also been established at Jabalpur, somewhere in Tamil Nadu & Gwalior ..... they all belong to Central Govt of India ....

IT is there to revlutionalise the world .. in it we aim at bringing all people on the same platform (e-commerce..we promote e-commerce)....from where they can communicate, help each other & ravish themselves .. IT is Information abt Technology in b/w masses ...

We named our platform as internet through U & me r also connected go it ..

Nations leading in IT are .. Sweden, USA, Norway .. Europe mainly ,,.. emerging India, asian countries ..

Now tell me very precisely wat the hell u wanna know abt IT .. it's vast very vast ... plzz be precise ..

Thanks 4 ur reply .I think that they are mainly focused on the Computer science based Questions cause it's conducting by our CS dep. Hope that some more reply will come...

for ur quiz ...

Above links provided R gud ... & if ur quiz is abt computers ! then it must quickly absorb mainly Internet as it's source ..plus the recent devellopments in s/w & h/w ... bcz IT is all about doing these enhancements!! ! plus controlling them so tht masses can be made joined on this very common emerging platform .. INTERNET .. this is called e-commerce ..

I think U shd concentrate on e-commerce do some google for the information as i just cant type here wat all i know ..but believe me this is an emerging force .... & surpisingly it's new further derivative has also been given it's name .... more surprises .. it is also emerging parellely ..to it's precedor ..

THis new great hybrid field is m-commerce ... hope U do some google for some more information ...
