If I guessed u right then i think u need the clean sweep utility in norton system works

I recomend System Mechanic.
Norton Clean Sweep is also very efficient.

Another vote for Norton's Cleansweep!
But it won't simulate installation and uninstallation in anyway..

I think you should use Virtual PC to simulate a Virtual PC ..

I think he want to simulate an installation procedure ..and Virtual Machines can be very useful in for that purpose ..When I created Slipstreamed SP1 CD long time back I tested it on Virtual PC first ..
