Default 700 or 800 MB

I bought 2 800 MB CDs. One local and one Amkette, but when I insert them into the computer it says that they are 703 MB.

I have tried reading them at 2 other (friend's) places.
1. Liteon combo
2. LG CDRW
3. Samsung CDRW

and in software...
1. Nero 6
2. Roxio easy cd & dvd creator 6
3. Win XP

but all read only 703 MB.

Are the CDs Corrupt (actually 703 MB) or is there any other way to check it out.

Please help as I urgently need to copy a 750 MB file. (not movie).

If anyone has tried any other 800 MB media then suggest the company, so I can try that out.

Default Amkette

I bought one Amkette 800 MB CD and i have successfully writed a movie of 88 inutes i.e. 880 Mb of the movie.

I on one other cd i have writed 765 mb of Data successfully.

I have used only 2 cd's. 800 MB cd is slightly costlier tha 700 one.

I thnk the CD would be duplicate.

If you are refering to yellow or red dotted lines showing 703mb ...these can easily be changed by going to the options menu.. i believe only way to test them is actually try and burn 800mb data.

Onw more thing..once i was burning a movie clip as a movie...after the burn process was over..it displayed the file size as 800mb..thought the cd's capacity was 700mb.. anyways the cd didn't work on dvd/cd-player but it worked just fine on a comp..

The CD I bought is Amekette.

The Nero Disc Info tool suggests that the CD is 703 MB.

Suggest me some other brand 800MB CD.
