If u r not facing any other prob then it can b possible that speaker which gives beep sound has failed or it has a loose connection. It a buzzer is there on ur mobo for beep, then check if it is working or not.

my PC has never beeped when booting (both ASUS 915g based HP Pavilion & Intel DG965WH m/b).
normally if the system beeps then it means trouble, am i right???
