Wink Display problem???

Recently my XP Home desktop has become 'jarky' as all icons shakes a lot following rt click & refresh. There was no shakes few days ago.
May be a bit silly to ask but can anyone help me to restore original settings?
Thanks.

There are "n" number of reasons for system slowing down producing that effect. Check out the CPU utilization at that time. Possible that any program is running in the background. If you are sure about it, then use "System Restore" to the best working time.

Ok. I suggest you to rebuild Icon Cache using Free Tweak UI from Microsoft.
Download and install it.
Start>Control Panel> Tweak UI..
Use the rebuild Icon Cache in it.

EDIT: TweakUI link corrected. Earlier link was not compatible with WindowsXP.

When the wallpaper is set as "Tiles" or "Centre", then u may face such problem.
Try to set the wallpaper as Stretch.
