My Documents automatically opening

Hi...

Everytime I log into WinXP, the My Documents folder automatically opens up. Thought its not much of a problem, how do I stop this from happening?

I found this on a forum,(many forums actually)

First make a backup of your registry
then
Run regedit and navigate to:

HKLM/SOFTWARE/Microsoft/Windows NT/CurrentVersion/Winlogon

In there there should be a value (on right hand side of screen) called Userinit.

The data for this value is probably something similar to:

C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,C:\windows\system 32\userinit.exe,

If you do see a duplicated string in there similar to the above - simply double click on the Userinit value and edit the data so as to delete everything to the right of the first comma (,). In the case above you would leave only:

C:\windows\system32\userinit.exe,

Exit registry edit and reboot. No more My Documents!

Check the Userinit and PersistBrowsers registry entries to make sure that they contain the correct values. To check the Userinit and PersistBrowsers registry entries, follow these steps:

a. Click Start, click Run, type regedit in the Open box, and then click OK.

b. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon

c. In the right pane, right-click Userinit, and then click Modify.

d. In the Edit String dialog box, type Windows installation drive letter:\WINDOWS\system32\userinit.exe under Value data, and then click OK.

e. Locate and then click the following registry subkey:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Windows\Curre ntVersion\Explorer\Advanced

f. In the right pane, right-click PersistBrowsers, and then click Modify.
g. In the Edit DWORD Value dialog box, type 0 under Value data, and then click OK.

h. Quit Registry Editor, and then restart the computer.
