Nokia6600 vs Sony P800
I am buying a cellphone and i really like the 6600 but not sure what Sony ericsson P800 is like. Is P800 better than 6600, the former has a larger screen and a touchscreen but it's softwares are not freely available . So tell me what should i buy P800 or 6600, mu budget is Rs 17000

U R doing a false comparision, 6600 is better then P800 as it is new, with 65k color screen,
P800 is a PDA not a smartphone, it's compleately differently, a fair comparision would be 6600 with K700i or S700i
P910i compares to Nokia communicator series
Go for P910i

Go for nokia 6600, and it costs only 15k, not as much as p800 does and remember u can get p800 much these days and also when cant get it serviced, in case it got repaired.
There are compactible issues as well....
p900i costs around 35k or even more, 6600 is only 15k. and remember his budget is only 17k.
Two major problems:
* outdated
* compactible issues
Go for 6600.

I dont see there's anything to compae here.. P800 is an outdated modell.. and u may get second hand piece for 10-15k..
anyway.. You can see these within ur budget (or may exceed ur budget by a few K).. 6600, 6620 (22k), Motorola MPX 200(in the same league as P900s-22k), SE K700i (17k.. A real good choice.. lotsa features), 6820 (has EDGE)..
See here
http://www.esato.com/phones/index.ph...cp=128&cp2=122
@gxsaurav: And for 40k 9500 is a better choice i guess... than P910i.. :roll:

Yeah 9500 rocks. So 6600 is my final choice. Also suggest a good brand of both bluetooth and MMC card devices. Is MMC from NCP any good?

See guys in first place P800 is NOT a PDA , its a smartphone . Pls get u r
fundas right.
Also the comparision between P800 and Nokia 6600 is not right, both
being in different class of phones.
I have been using both of these phones and know that P800
is more better then N6600.
Only problem with P800 is that its camera is crappy which is same for
all SE phones.
Also the sw for SEP800 is quite freely available, its just that u have to find it.
I think in 15k u can only get a second-hand P800 , but on the other hand
u can get first hand brand new N6600.
Hope this makes things a bit clear.
Bye.

One more thing being the external memory in P800 is Memory Stick Duo,
which is quite costly as compared to MMC cards used in N6600.
Bye.

these cell phones are such a waste of money. What ever happened to "the communication" aspect of it?

Software version? You mean S60 . It's an S60 phone. My big brother gave this phone to me, he works in a bank and bought it from some customer with bill.
