Default 2 graphics chips on a single GFX card!!!

Now imagine 2 chips on a single graphics card. Gigabyte released this new technology similar to SLI so secretly that even nVIDIA the inventor of SLI didn't know of this. Check this link:

Apparently even Asus has a similar board with 2 6600GT cores, and to top it 2 cards can be used so that makes a Quad 6600GT config

have u seen that assembly on the gpu with mobo. how the hell can one put it inside a cabinet. how the heck will one install it. the card looks like a factory with a big chimney and i hope it churns out enough fps to kick sli's butt. not that i am criticising. its only that the first glimpse of it just ran my imagination. way to go gigabyte.!!!!! . .but come to think of it sli will have better perfomance because the cpu will have two whole units to process on whereas in 3d1 the cpu will have only one unit but two chips. the clever thing is the dividing of the pci-e bandwith. very creative and smart. read this
Although the final price for the 3D1 bundle (including the motherboard) has not yet been decided, it is expected to be around 20% cheaper than a single 6800 GT, 28-30% cheaper than a GeForce 6800 Ultra and around 10% cheaper than two GeForce 6600 GT cards. wow!! truly great piece of work. i never expected gigabyte to be so good.

It's OLD news baby. Even a single 6800GT defeats 3D1.
Why to spend so much on a SLI mobo and 3D1 card. one thing to b noted that this cards doesn't provides output for 4 monitors as in SLI mode is provided by 2 6600Gt's

Sumthing GR8 wud b only if when u wud b able to use two of 3D1 cards with point to point connection of PCI-E x 16 bus (as in SATA or PCI-E) instead of dividing it into two parts as in SLI.
