Unhappy UPS problematic

whenever I switch on my UPS it switches to the battery mode thereby not allowing me to keep the computer running for more than 5 minutes. what should i do, I used to face this problem earlier too, but I think it's a something to do with the voltage fluctuations in ghaziabad. Is my UPS old for my new computer, it's a voltcare 500va one. please help....

If you are sure that the problem is voltage fluctuation/lower voltage, using a stabilizer meant for the refrigerator (preferably wide range type) will help. I had used it in the past when living at a place where voltage was almost always below 160-170
