my pc is hanging
well as i hv earlier also posted abt my monitor going blank problem my pc has started hanging frequently also .... generally happens wen i use apps like azureus and lime wire .... never happened in the past 2 years ... and now suddenly no error no nothing and pc just hangs or starts going blank ..... k hua bhai mare pc ko???

Is it only with p2p s/w's??
Scan ur comp with anti virus in safe mode too..and check ur HDD with scan disk

Tera time bahut kharaab hai... recently monitor mazaak kar raha tha... abhi pc!
Didja check out in Ctrl+Alt+Del -> Processes Tab, which process is utilizing full CPU (max CPU)?

everything seems to be fine .... system idle process has max CPU .... scan avast using updated scanned it thrice came up with nothing .... and kool bluez sahi bola time bahut kharab hai .... monitor aur pc dono tag team mein meri maar rahe hain
not only p2p ... limewire, azureus, wmp11 or any video ..... iv noticed tht mostly during these apps my pc starts behaving rudely ....

May be a RAM problem! Neways, before doing anything, I strictly advice to clean ur PC's internels with a vaccum cleaner and dry cloth. I saved myself from going to Nehru place a dozen times like this!

when u feel things r not going ur way...its better to start form begining...  ..
so start...remove all parts....clean ur pc ....format ur drive...atleast the C:.....and start installing all s/w agian...

well formatting is something i dont wanna do ... coz theres so much installed in this machine tht i myself dont know what all i hav put in the past 2 yrs
secondly the cleaning has been done .... a lot of dust did come out and i thought the problem will be solved but tht wasnt the case

before cleaning and another thing .... today after i closed wmp11 it hung again .... i dont understand ... lime wire, azureus, video players ... i dont mind fromatting but if the problem persists then its gonna sok bad ... so i wanna know the possibilities .... hardware or software????

U must try some other RAM first before formatting. Borrow from ur friends!
Neways u may try a live "knoppix CD", if things go OK with it then RAM is fine. Its probably windows fault then.

update:
i tried ubuntu and it worked fine .... but then wen i restarted ... the system hung again before the login screen wen booted into xp (not the first time this has happened) .... so hard booted again and came across this error again
