Question One Big Question about Hdd Partition...........?

I saw my frnds HP Pavillion Laptop
It has 2 drive
C & D
C has 40gb
D has 40 gb

but on D drive their is space apprx. 6 GB reserved with a folder name something like "data recovery"

when i click on it, it open like any other normaly folder n it has message in the empty space HP Data Recovery area

when ever he delete's any file/folder by mistake
he can recover it from running hp data wizard

I want to know how can i create such a partition, so that my harddisk reserves some space in any drive
n at time of data loss i can easliy recover it

Pls help..................?

does his HP recover the Folders or the Uninstalled Applications, Drivers.

coz i hav a HP Pavilion Desktop, it has a 6.41GB Recovery Partition, which can
=>Re-Install XP without Formatting, deleting any File in C: drive,
=>Re-Install m/b, modem... Drivers,
=>Applications which came with the PC- WinDVD, Norton Internet Security, HP Image Zone Plus...

why don't you people consider system restore in XP ???

some third party softwares are also available which make separate partition (not visible to user ) solely for the purpose of data restoration
