Default Direct 9.0x Problem

Hey Guys,
I have a peculiar problem. Whenever i try installing Direct 9.0x any
version it always gives an error message that this software does not have
the required windows XP certificate and then the installation terminates
abruptly. As a result i am unable to play any games on my system. I just
had a fresh install of win XP. Although I don't suspect it but i recently
upgraded my RAM. Does this have some thing to do with it??

Also whenever i try installing SP2 it always gives an error saying that the
source files are corrupt. But how can this be possible although i try with
different dvd's.
Any answers??
Thanks in Advance

You must be using a pirated copy of XP.
