can pc dvd rom read hdvd

i got a hdvd from a frien which ran well on my dvd player when i tried to play it on my samsung dvd rom of computer it didnt even red it.i thought it is because the dvd rom is 3 yrs old. can pc dvd rom read hdvd. if yes which model.... (?)

none of the current dvd roms support hd dvds.... make sure u r using a hd dvd.... by the way wats the content of that???
