rediff.com provides free 1 gb email, its fast,friendly and even supports indian languages. now it is trying to catch up with yahoo and hotmail by launching its new improved version of "rediff bol".
the 7.0 alpha version has a really cool user freindly interface. it looks just as good as msn messenger or yahoo messenger. it supports avatars , phne calls (voip) and smses, there is also provision for sending and receiving files. one strange thing is that the menu is located at the bottom of the screen rather than at the top. all in all it looks pretty good.
one thing which i did not like was there wasnt anybody online with whom i could chat (since this is a beta release and very few ppl have d/l it).
