Default Crashing Right Click

Well, I recently reinstalled my windowsXp and after installing all necessary software I got this problem-
Whenever I right clicked a folder it hangs and I have to end explorer.exe in taskmanager and restart the process. Is there a way around it?
I couldn't install any sp packs as it says my version is pirated one! I got the CD from my compaq dealer when I succeeded in killing preformated xp install more that twice in a week!
So, what can I do to save my system from its right click hangouts?
P.S:-It hangs only with folders, not files.

Try booting in safe mode and see if it happens there. If it doesnt then you run msconfig and disable all unnecessary programs from startup. Now see if the problem occurs, if it doesnt, then one of your startup programs is creating trouble. Re-enable one by one until you get the problem. This will help in identifying the culprit.

Scorpion,
It seems like one of the entries in your Folder's right click menu is corrupted

Your problem is similar to Right Click Crash
But well may be that's not the solution to ur problem

See if THIS TIP or THIS TIP can help or not

It still the problem persists ..
then you may have to delete the corrupted entry by hit-and-trial
Look at this page
and this page

you can try using shell extension managers like
http://www.nirsoft.net/utils/shexview.html
http://demosten.com/shellexman/
