At startup, My Computer Automatically opens

WHen i start my computer, My computer automatically shows up even the icons at bottom right corner come after that.
I hav also cheked startup in start menu, but cudnt find anything.
Wat is the problem?

it could be in your startup folder.
C:\Documents and Settings\All Users\Start Menu\Programs\Startup,
delete from this location if it is there.

or it could be loaded from your registry, run HijackThis and delete that start reg key that is pointing to ur "My Computer".

Start > Run > Regedit {Press Enter}

In the left navigation pane, Open HKeyLocalMachine > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run
See if any startup entry for My Computer is there
Same goes for HKeyCurrentUser > Software > Microsoft > Windows > CurrentVersion > Run

Most probably there is a shortcut to My Computer in your Startup folder.

In the run command box, type MSCONFIG and press enter.

Navigate to the Startup tab, and see is any of the options is for My Computer, if it is unselect it.

Also, when you shutdown or restart you computer, is you My Computer Open.

Tried everything but all in wain.
also tried to post image of regedit but dont knw how to do it.

press print screen after opening the regedit entry..... then upload the image @imageshack.us or photobucket.com and use the [img] tags..

You may have a virus....

Check this value...

HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Windows NT\CurrentVersion\Winlogon\

Double click "shell" and tell me what value it has??
