Weird display problem!!!

I have a sony lcd running on a geforce4. When i run dvds or vcds in any player - Intervideo WinDvd 6 or even WMP - i get very whitish pictures.

but to correct it, as soon as i click on the GeForce4 tab in the display properties, the movies' display quality is AUTOMATICALLY restored, without any changes being made by me!!!


wat is this???? some prob wid my hardware???
my drivers r up-to-date
