Hi-- LO BEEPS!

Hi,

I m having an old comp .. i bought it in 2000..

It is a packard bell , 700 mhz.. 12 GB , 384 MB ram...

I hardly use this since i got my acer ferrari laptop..

But.. Now adays i use this to test out all new softs.. etc...

My computer has a problem now.. When i m working in it.. suddenly a hi/lo beep starts .. and the alarm goes on like forever,, and during tht .. my computer goes dead slow..

Affter few minutes or hours.. it stops.. sometime doesnt...

when i check the taskmgr.. the process count goes bizzarre!

My comp doesnt have a chance of having viirus .. since i formatted it yesteradayt..


I m goin thru this prob for arnd 2-3 months...

I feel it is a motehrboard prob.. since it is quite old.. if i have to change it.. which motehrboard supports my comp and which is hte good one!

i wonder if there be any Mobo available for that... since my 4 yrs old CPU has no compatible mobol availebe now a days

and btw .. my shut down APC temperature is 85C!

I think it is heating up.. Shud i buy an extra fan or replace my motherboard!
