help me in powerpoint. want to insert mu

I want to insert music in powerpoint slides how to do that? it is not that much simple . what I exactly want to do is this >


say I have 7 slides 1 to 7 . Now from 1 to 3 I want it like this >>
that when I start a song starts( song a ) then when i am in slide 2 song B starts then when I am in slide 3 song C starts.then there will be only one song ( song D) for slide 4 to 7 . I mean I may roam any slide between 4-7 but the song will play uninterruptly .it should not start from the beginning if I go to a different slide .

is that possible??

Yes its possible.

For slides 1,2 and 3, insert audio to each slides using Insert>Movies and Sounds>Sound from file menu. So when these slides appears it will play its own music you put in those files.

For slides 4 to 7, follow the same procedure of inserting audio as above in slide 4. Goto Slideshow>Custom Animation to show the Custom Animation panel on right. See the uploaded file
Select your sound icon(triangle like). Then goto its dropdown menu and select Effect Options. In the new window that will come up, under Effect tab, click on the radio option that says 'Stop playing after .. slides'. Enter value 7 there.
It will definately work!

there is a small problem with the blueshift's method. everything works fine when you go forward. But when when go backwards from slide 7, 6, 5 to 4 the song stops playing and you have to go back to slide 3 and come back to 4 and the song starts playing again..

Linsten Mr. Dragon or whatever, the way he wanted the job to be done is not possible completely n the problem too i posted. SO my REQUEST to you is "DONT COMMENT BEFORE YOU READ" got it?

thanks man. by d way, i just pointed out whats d problem with that method. your solution is 99% correct except that small problem. and there is nothing wrong to put a feature request to MS
