Desktop Recorder !!!

Long time back I came across a s/w which records anything seen on the desktop.
Not something which records from the card, or from a url or so...
a "direct view recorder"... a "what u see is what u record" sorta software. Does anybody have any idea on that kinda software?
Something like a desktop capturing utility in the recording mode

just use this software buddy, u will forget every other software. compression rate is better than techsmith's camtasia. i agree that camtasia is the best. but its heavy in size both the programme & the recorded file size.

what more, it can record audio also if u have sound card. its simply the best software. fastest and small in size, best quality. use it to believe it.
