U can download or can create ur own customized login screens and then replace the original XP login screen with the new one
The login screen is placed in %windir%\System32\ directory with the name Logonui.exe.

U can use Resource Hacker to edit the existing Login Screen and can change the BITMAPs with ur desired image
Thats what I do to change my XP Login Screen

Or u can use "Logon Studio" to easily create ur own login screen

read this first carefully
TUTORIAL: All About Resource Hacker! A Brief Tutorial
and remeber reduce the wallpaper size to 640x480 and save it in bmp format then only u will be able to replace that resource(Bitmap>1000>1033)

if you want only wallpaper and no top and bottom darkblue strip then u have to edit the UIFILE>1000>1033 also in loginui.exe

WARNING: Remeber if you will done anything wrong then your system will not boot so keep a winxp bootable disc with you for emergency
