photoshop help needed

I need to resize around 30 images all stored in a single folder. Can some bedy tell me a simple and fast way of resizing all the pictures to the same size in one go.

You can also use free Windows Power toy Image resizer which embeds itself in right-click context menu.

Even Google's Picasa does the resizing automatically.

But for photoshopping them... here r a few clues/methods:

That is more than enough, I suppose.
The former one might be faster as it's already an automatic "action" plugin.

i use Acdsee for this ... it is a great stuff to rename and resize where u can specify either a fixed size or percentage

No need to use any other s/w or plugin.

In Photoshop, just create an Action and apply batch processing to all images. Heres how you do!

Open any image in Photoshop that you want to resize. Then from the Actions pallete, click on Create new action. This will start recording an action. Now goto Image>Image Size.. , enter appropriate values and press ok. Then press stop recording. (Theres no need to export or save that file)

Now goto File>Automate>Batch.... From their, choose Action that you just created, source and destination folders. And press Ok.

This will resize all the images in just one size, the values that you entered when creating an Action. If you want to set individual values, just toggle the dialog options from the Actions pallete corresponding to your Action. You can read PS Help files for this.

Before resizing, remember to save your original photos to a safe place. Resizing will affect quality. Using Photoshop smart objects, you can resize to a higher size without affecting quality.

just 4 resizing .......... dont use PHOTOSHOP .........

fastest way = IRFANVIEW ......... install it from any digit cd ....... select all files & resize in just few seconds ........

Have you heard about Jalbum? It is used for creating HTML albums from your photographs. It usually processes about a 1000 images in 10 mins. We regularly use it for an image oriented site - http://www.deitydarshan.com. Have a look at festivals section of that site. All the images are resized using JAlbum.

You can then discard the unnecessary files by deleting them. And yes, it doesn't modify your original images. It creates new ones.

thumbnail factory also does the same .... makes thumbnails and html pages having thumbanails and links to bigger images for each thumbnail
