Default CMOS-CHECKSUM Error and Suspect of Illegal Intrusion!!!

Dear Digit,

Problem 1:
I am having a "CMOS Check-Sum Error Problem", whenever
I try to reboot in UPS backup mode. I am experiencing this problem
from the past 2-3months. Whenever the main power supply cuts-off
I cannot reboot properly; and I am interrupted with the error message
"CMOS-CHECKSUM ERROR-defaults loaded". I loose the current system
time settings and it dates back to Jan 2000, as the current system date,
with all the default settings.

I have the follwing configuration:
PENTIUM III PROCESSOR 1.1GHz,256 MB SDRAM, Mercury Motherboard(815E TFSX), V-Guard UPS.

Please help me solve this problem.

Problem 2:

I have one more Problem associated with this issue. Ocassionally I get a Warning Message that, "Warning!Your System case is opening!!". This happens during CMOS booting. I dont know what to do. Please Help!!
Thanking you,
yours faithfully,
vinod.y

umm.. bout the first one, your CMOS battery is probably exhausted... change it and see if that works...

1 > the solution to ur first prob is to replace the CMOS battery..

2> Ur second solution has got to do with BIOS setting.
All u got to do is to disable CHASIS INTRUSION DETECTION.
I've got dis feature on my INTEL D865GBF MOBO... don't know
bout ur's.
