Default CES 2005 begins


CES 2005 has begun in Las vega, as always many componies are showing what they got & what they have to show us

Some highlights

Intel Dual Core smithfield in action
Intel 600 Series CPU running Windows XP 64, yes, it's a full 64bit CPU now
Intel New Centrino, Sonoma
Mobile Phone running Windows Mobile Edition
Creatives WIrelessheadphones, (already have them available )

& much more

We have a Apple gbook laptop. Its PowerPC processor is amazingly cool (in the sense of heat generated). Intel has a long way to go to match these two parameters (heat vs performance)

Intel has already learned that the Pentium M architecture is a dam cool & performance wise good architecture, it even beats Athlon64 FX 53 in some benchmarks at anantech

I guess after the usual dual core shown there, which runs 2 cores at 3 GHz for a total of 6 ghz effective, it will be better to make a dual core cpu with 2 2.5 GHz pentium M, with 2 MB L2 cache each

However, PowerPC is compleately different architecure, and U can only get it with Apple systems, not retail, because of which Macs are costly
