guys i dont whether u hav noticed this or no but wen u dwnld something inff u always get the pop-up that asks whether u wanna save or open if u don click on any and let it be as is after some time if u click on save u will see tht the file is dwnlding at humoungous speeds and now tht u hav selected to sav the speed starts to decrease to normallacy .....

this is because untill the time u choose between whether to open or save the file.... the fille has already been downloaded in to ur temporary folder.... if u choose some different location then it willl be shifted to tht place... and if u choose to open it only then...it will simply carry on downloading it in to the temp folder.... now tht u have taken much time deciding where to save the file... the already downloaded portions will cause the progressbar to speed up ....but then it will get downloaded at the regular speeds.... thts quite logical thing thts happening at tht time...

Bcoz firefox starts downloading the file as soon as it shows the dialog box
And thats why if u select an option in dialog box after a few seconds, firefox has already downloaded a few KB/MB of the file and u see the HUGE d/l speed, which decreases within a few seconds
