Can we remove forced dot(.) tk favicon? iI think javascript is used in it tell me if I can do that

Does adding your own favicon as illustrated by this link http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Favicon make a change? If not then it must be JScript forcing. No idea on bypassing that, haven't used a .tk :[
