Question *** HELP ME out reGARDING JAVA ***


friends,

i need your precious and urgent help

actually i am a beginner @ Java. you can say that i know nothing about it @ all.

Simply suggest me some books (not e-books) for a beginner like me. which starts from the fundamentals and goes deeper and deerper.

moreover what are the software requirements for running JAVA/Java based applications.

Plz give out the links.


I repeat again I am a beginner and know nothing abt this language. really.!


Plz help out guys.

Software : Sun java compiler

Complete Reference to JAVA is one of the best books out there when it comes to learning it by yourself.

As for JAVA IDEs, I will suggest you go for Eclipse, but only after mastering the concepts of Java.

^^Yeah, I too beginned with it. Its a nice book for grasping the fundamentals.

BOOK---> COMPLETE JAVA REFERENCE by Herbert Schildt (PM me if u need any help on this book)

S/ware---> JDK from www.sun.com or www.java.com or EDIT PLUS (search on google)

IIRC Complete reference is the book and Herbert shield is the author of the same.
once you get basics clear, or maybe even before that, google "java forums"
