What's an ATi STEAM account?

I wanted to know what is an ATi Steam account. Since the site says you have to have it for installing the HL2 demo.

Ok Then Lets Assume The Steam Account (For That is what i know)
Its The Authentication required to Play HL2......It Connects To The Internet and Updates Ur Steam Key And registers U up for a Playable Account At Steam To Play Hl2 8)
Havent Played The Demo Yet So Cant Say How To Activate It but Will Let Ya Know If I Can find Sometin

dunno how the demo works....but with the full game, steam installs first, and then u get 2 install half life 2...steam creates a n account 4 u and then associates ur cd key with that account permanently...then steam updtaes ur files and unlocks them so u can play half life 2...pain in the butt i tell ya...
