How to create .gif files

HI! all frnds 0f DIGIT ,frnds i wanted help 4rm u members(at ur wish).
I want 2 know how 2 create ".gif" files, ppl knowing how 2 create plz help me, with NOTES,TIPS,WEBLINKS,TUTORIALS, anything which will teach me create .gif files.

open any image editor even paint and save the file with extension gif

ok
wht gif file do is shows 1 image than another than another
n we thinks its a animation, but it not, it only 4-5 images bundled together
for this u need Software called Imageready(Comes with Photoshop)
open Imageready
Now take a New file
Open 3-4 images u want to merge
now drag n drop 1st image to ur new document
in the layers u'll find Layer 1 created
Now at bottom (in the animation palate)
go to (>) button n click new frame
now in layers create new layer n drop ur another image
repeate this for all ur images
Now
1) click on animation palate's 1st frame n in the layers uncheck all the layer (by clicking on the eye at left) only check 1st layer

2) click on animation palate's 2nd frame n in the layers uncheck all the layer (by clicking on the eye at left) only check 2nd layer

3) click on animation palate's 3rd frame n in the layers uncheck all the layer (by clicking on the eye at left) only check 3rd layer

4) click on animation palate's 4th frame n in the layers uncheck all the layer (by clicking on the eye at left) only check 4th layer

(means one animation frame n one layer for each image)

save it as .gif extension
n u have completed

u missed a very important word .... 'animated' .... u can save any image to gif extension and hav a non-animated gif image
